Difference between RAM & ROM

What is the difference between RAM and ROM?  Both are computer hardware and act as memory responsible for storage media on PCs, laptops, gadgets and more.  While both storage media, RAM and ROM have some differences we should be aware of, but before discussing the differences between the two, it would be a good idea to know what RAM and ROM mean.

 Understanding RAM

 Ram or Random Acces Memory is a temporary storage of programs on your computer.  The Ram function is a support for the processor in performing computer processes.Ram is one of the main Hardware that is required for the hardware of a computer Hardware network.  RAM (Random Access Memory) has the function of storing temporary data.  The larger the Ram's capacity, the faster the computer works.

 Understanding ROM

 ROM or Read Only Memory is a space or place on computers, laptops, gadgets and the like that works to store files, such as music, pictures, and so on.

 Here's the difference between RAM and ROM;

 1. Capacity

 RAM generally has large MB and GB with high speed.  Additionally the RAM is also capable of upgarede capacity, in contrast to the non-upgradeable ROM.

 2. Secure Data Saved

 The data stored in the ROM is not easily lost and is permanent because it does not take time to store the ROM.  While the data stored in the RAM is lost when the computer is turned off or off, this is because the RAM requires extra power

 3. Product Type

 Types of ROMs include PROM (Programmable Read Only Memory) produced as blank memory.  Examples are CD-ROM, EPROM, and EEPROM.  In PROM, the data is written electronically, whereas EPROM can retain information and data for a long time.  Additionally the EEPROM can be executed at any time without having to remove any previous data from the EEPROM.

 While RAM has two types: DRAM and SRAM.  For DRAM it is a very common type as it is usually packaged with a standart hardware system.  In terms of speed SRAM is faster than DRAM, because DRAM requires refresh thousands of times, speed is usually 60 times when SRAM doesn't need it and its speed is up to 10 times

 These are some of the differences between Ram and ROM, though they are memory but they have very significant differences.  You need to know this to avoid misunderstanding.

THAT'S ALL. THANK YOU.
